Test: Transduction unit

Add one or several tests for the transduction unit to your assay. To add the tests as assay suitability tests, add them as children of the Assay suitability tests element. To add the tests as sample suitability tests, add them as children of the Sample suitability tests element.

This test uses the transduction unit, which is calculated as follows:

Transduction unit = Total number of cells * EC50 * Response at EC50 / Maximal response

To pass the test, the transduction unit has to be greater than or equal to the lower margin set in the test definition and less than or equal to the upper margin.

You can set the following parameters:

  • Total number of cells: Sets the total number of cells to be used in the calculation of the transduction unit.
  • Maximal response: Sets the maximal response to be used in the calculation of the transduction unit.
  • Unit: Defines the unit to be printed for the transduction unit in reports.
Tip: To define a maximal response, add the Maximal response element from the Creatable elements pane. If you do not enter a maximal response, the calculation uses the upper asymptote of the regression of the standard (for the linear model).
