Learn how to create preparation schemes and assign them to assay elements in Dose-response analysis documents.
Before you begin
We recommend becoming familiar with the preparation schemes concept of PLA 3.0 before beginning. For details, see the
Preparation schemes topic.
About this task
Created from scratch, Dose-response analysis documents have one multi-dose
and one single-dose preparation scheme. In this example, we create one extra
single-dose scheme along with one extra test sample and assign the new scheme to the
new sample.
Note: This task shows how to efficiently work with the document structure in
this context. To see how you configure preparation schemes in a practical example,
see the Use case: Determine total human thyroxine (T4) topic.
Procedure
To create a single-dose preparation scheme:
In the Content editor of your Dose-response analysis document, go to Setup > Preparation schemes.
In the Creatable elements pane, double-click
Single-dose scheme.
Result: Your assay document now has two Single-dose
scheme elements.
To assign the preparation schemes to the test element:
Go to Setup > Assay elements.
Right-click the Test element.
From the context menu, select Duplicate element.
Result: Your assay document now has two Test
elements.
Under the new Test element, from the
Preparation scheme drop-down list, select the
single-dose scheme you created.
Save the document.

assessment' sample document shows the assignment of single-dose schemes with
different dilutions to their respective test samples:Figure 1. Assignment of a single-dose preparation scheme to a test sample
