Learn how to set up response data processing in Dose-response analysis
documents.
Before you begin
We recommend becoming familiar with the response data processing concept of PLA 3.0 before beginning. For details, see the
Response data processing topic.
Note: This task shows how to
efficiently work with the document structure in this context. Best practices or
recommendations regarding the setup of assays are not covered.
About this task
Created from scratch, Dose-response analysis
documents do not process response data. You can add several adjustment,
normalization, and transformation steps and use drag and drop to adjust the sequence
of steps according to your requirements. PLA 3.0 processes the steps
from top to bottom, as shown in the summary of the Response data
processing section.Figure 1. Response data processing setup for curve interpolation
In this example, we set up normalization and transformation processing such that the
first step normalizes all data and the second step log-transforms all data.
Tip: If you do not want to use response data processing, you can remove the
related sections from your document. This also removes the respective entries from
the report.
Procedure
To set up normalization:
In the Content editor of your Dose-response analysis document, go to Analysis > Response data processing.
Drag and drop the Normalization section to the first
position and expand it.
In the drop-down list, switch from No normalization to
by Fixed value.
As the value, enter 560.
To set up transformation:
Drag and drop the Transformation section to the second
position and expand it.
In the drop-down list, switch from No transformation to
Logarithmic response transformation.
