Set up the assay template

Performing daily assay runs is a common scenario in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments. PLA 3.0 supports routine assay analysis by providing assay templates. You use these templates to prepare a standard setup for the assays that PLA 3.0 generates.

This is the first step in setting up an automated bioassay workflow.

Before you begin

This task uses the Quantitative response assay document type of PLA 3.0. We recommend becoming familiar with this document type before setting up the assay template. For details, see the Quantitative response assays topic.

About this task

Assay templates define the settings that PLA 3.0 uses to generate Quantitative response assay documents during the automated workflow. These settings include assay elements, dilution sequence, and analysis steps. Assay templates also store suitability test settings that check whether the assay provides valid results.

Procedure

To setup the assay template:
Begin by creating the assay template. Then define the assay elements and preparation schemes. Define the plate size and configure the analytical settings and suitability tests. Complete the setup by defining how the samples and dilutions are arranged on the plate.
