Perform routine analysis
Use the protocol template to run the routine analysis for your bioassay workflow. Routine analysis applies the workflow logic you defined earlier and processes the assay data as it becomes available. This step shifts from preparing templates to executing the actual analysis and evaluating the assay results.
This is the fourth step in setting up an automated bioassay workflow.
About this task
In this task, you use the protocol template to perform a staged bioassay evaluation. You begin by creating a protocol document, which applies the workflow settings you defined in the earlier steps. The protocol document then generates the linked assay documents that you use for daily data entry.
As observation data becomes available, you enter it into the corresponding assay document and calculate the result. This staged approach reflects common laboratory practice, where each run is checked before proceeding to the next. Reviewing intermediate results helps identify issues early and ensures that each assay behaves as expected.
This use case simulates a three-day workflow. You enter the observation data for each day, calculate the daily results, and then calculate the reportable values for the overall analysis.
