Basic bioassay protocol

Use Basic bioassay protocol documents to set up a workflow for producing reportable values from multiple independent assay runs. Organize complex methods, retest scenarios, and report several products in a single assay.

About this document type

Basic bioassay protocol documents let you create a closed structure of Quantitative response assay and Combination of assay results documents that you can use to efficiently perform assay analysis. You can configure separate templates for each assay, increase the number of included runs as needed, and perform complete assay evaluations efficiently and consistently.

Tip: You can identify documents of this type by the icon in the upper right corner of the Content editor.

Document structure

Each Basic bioassay protocol documents have five default sections, that is Documentation, Mode, Combination calculation, Templates, Reportable values, plus one or more optional Comment sections.

Section Description

Documentation

Provide supplemental information on the setup of your assay that is needed for documentary purposes but is not required for calculation or the organization of observation data.

Mode

Select one of the supported protocol modes, that is, assay replicate or assay element.

Combination calculation

Define combination calculations to aggregate the potency data of all Test sample as they occur in the (calculated) assay replicates that are generated by the protocol document.

Templates

Specify the templates you need to generate assay replicates and combination calculations.

Reportable values

Adjust the dataset structure used to summarize reportable values generated by Combination of assay results documents.

Comment

Add extra information to your assay. The PDF reports display the comments you add on the first page.
