Use case: Automate a bioassay workflow
For some biological assays, determining relative potency within a single run is not sufficient. In these cases, you perform multiple individual assay runs and then combine the resulting data to obtain a more reliable final potency estimate. The challenge is to combine these individual results efficiently and reproducibly, particularly in regulated environments or when preparing for automated workflows.

Create the combination calculation template

Combination calculation templates hold settings required to perform combination calculations. Create the combination calculation template required for this use case.

Procedure

To create the combination calculation template:

In the Navigator, select the folder in which you want to create the document.
From the context menu, select New.
In the Create a new document dialog, on the Available document types tab, go to Biological Assay Package > Combination of assay results.
You can create combination templates from scratch or using another template. For this use case, you create a template from scratch. Select 'New Combination of assay results.'
At the bottom of the dialog, select the Create as template option.
To confirm your selection and create the template, select Create.
Result: The Content editor opens, displaying your new template.
As the template name, enter Combination Calculation for Product X.
Save the template.
