Column: Document reference

Use this column to set up document reference filters. Document reference filters let you decide which of the referenced documents PLA 3.0 can use as source documents.

The following settings are available:
Setting Description Note

Name

Lets you set the name of the data table column that shows the referenced documents in the References editor.

Adapt the name if you require.

Column key

Displays the key of the column. PLA 3.0 uses this key to define a sort order based on this column.

You cannot change the key.

Edit mode

Lets you select an existing document or create a new document.

This setting is not supported in this context.

Update mode

When aggregating data, the update mode defines how PLA 3.0 adds references to source documents and how it updates the data provided by the referenced documents.

Document type

Lets you reference documents of a specific document type only. For example, you can filter for Quantitative response assay documents or Dose-response analysis documents.

Template key

Lets you reference documents created from a specific template only.

Folder key

Lets you reference documents located in a specific folder only.

For details on how to use this setting, see the Key-based filters topic.

Allow subfolder

Requires referenced documents be elements of the specified folder or one of its subfolders.

Generator key

Lets you reference documents generated by a specific document only.

Document mode

Lets you reference documents of a specific mode only. The document mode determines the purpose for which you can use a document. Three modes are available, that is, document, template, and PQ definition.

Document property filter

Lets you define document property filters. Use these filters if your source documents should have specific properties. For example, you can filter for signed or calculated documents.

Section property filter

Lets you define section property filters. Use these filters if your source documents should have sections that meet the filter criteria. For example, you can filter for documents with a failed Control sample test.
