Column: Position factor

Use this column to set up position factors. Position factors let you define plate layouts for your assays. You can define up to three positions, that is, row, column, and plate.

Mandatory settings

The following settings are mandatory:
Setting Description

Name

Lets you enter a name for easier identification of your plate layout setup. Assign names as follows:
  • First factor: Column
  • Second factor: Row
  • Third factor: Plate or Rack

Number of positions

Lets you set the number of positions for this factor.

Map index to characters

Lets you use characters instead of numbers for your plate positions.

Optional settings

The following settings are optional and not required in this context:
Setting Description

Column key

Lets you enter a key for the column. PLA 3.0 uses this key to define a sort order based on this column.

Property scope

Lets you switch between aggregating from the whole document or aggregating from a section within a document.

Property key

The URI of the document property you want to use as section filter.

Section key

Lets you define a section key to require data be aggregated from a specific section within the source document.
