Data aggregation
About data aggregation
Several PLA 3.0 document types make use of data aggregation. Some document types, such as Combination of assay results and Equivalence margin development documents, come equipped with a predefined data aggregation logic as they require a complex set of rules for the aggregation process to work correctly.
For other document types such as Control charts, you can freely set up the data aggregation logic. In such cases, you can adapt and enhance the default settings according to your requirements.
-
Document references to establish a link between source documents and the target document.
-
Document reference filters to decide which of the referenced documents PLA 3.0 can use as source documents.
-
Section filters to decide from which sections within a source document PLA 3.0 can aggregate data.
-
Dataset columns to define the parameters you want to aggregate.
To fine-tune your aggregation process, you can also combine document reference filters and section filters.
Use cases
-
Use Control chart documents for compliant and automated assay monitoring. For details see the Set up Control chart documents topic.
-
Use Equivalence margin development documents to utilize data of historic assays to develop and verify test systems and use these systems to apply them in new assay development. For details, see the Equivalence margin development topic.
