Login dialog

Use the Login dialog to select the database you want to work with and sign in. Refresh your information package, manage databases, perform an Installation Qualification, and find information on the PLA 3.0 system.

Items

The following items are available:

Version information

At the top of the dialog, you see the PLA 3.0 version and build number.

Database selection

The Database drop-down list shows all available databases. Select the one to which you want to connect for the current session.

User information

In the middle of the dialog, you see your current avatar and user name.

Action buttons

  • Login: Log in to PLA 3.0.

  • Tools: Access a set of extra tools.

  • Exit: Exit and close PLA 3.0.

Serial number (S/N)

  • For licensed versions, you see a green icon and the five-digit serial number under which the PLA 3.0 license is running in your environment.

  • For trial versions, you see a blue icon , a generic 8-digit number, the days remaining in your trial period, and a link for buying the software.

Registration information

At the bottom of the dialog, you see the name and e-mail-address of the registered user and a link for changing the information.

Refresh information package

Manually refresh your information package using one of the following options:
  • Refresh from the internet: Use this option in online environments to download the latest version of your information package.

  • Refresh from a file: Use this option in offline environments. This option requires extra steps. For details, see the Download and refresh information package topic.

Database management

Lets you manage your database connections.

For details, see the Database connection profiles topic.

Installation Qualification (IQ)

Lets you check the completeness and correctness of the PLA 3.0 installation.

Opens the PLA 3.0 Knowledge Center, where we provide guides and tutorial videos for working with PLA 3.0.
