Database connection profiles

Use database connection profiles to connect to PLA 3.0 databases. These profiles hold all properties required to connect to a database such as the path where the database is located, the user name, and the encrypted password to access the database.

Important: Database connection profiles represent links or shortcuts to a specific database and are stored independently from the respective database.
To manage these profiles, you use the Manage database connection profiles dialog. You access this dialog from the PLA 3.0 Login dialog by selecting Tools > Database management.
