About this task

This task guides you through the process of updating from an earlier PLA 3.0 version. The update includes several components that you need to update in order, that is, software, database, packages, and add-ons. The following figure provides an overview of these steps. Important:

When updating an existing installation, PLA 3.0 reuses your license. You therefore do not need to reinstall the license system.

Procedure

To update from an earlier PLA 3.0 version:

Download and install PLA 3.0.
Update the database scheme.
Migrate your packages to add-ons.
Update your PLA 3.0 add-ons. (optional)
