Database tasks

The following tasks are available for global roles

Lock database

Execute the Lock database command to lock other users out and have exclusive access to the database.

Manage accounts

Modify settings related to the following account management features: Global roles, document roles, groups, security contexts, and users.

To maintain the database, at least one user needs to have the Manage accounts task. In the default setup of PLA 3.0 databases, the Administrator has this task due to membership in the System administrators group, which has the System administrator global role assigned.

Note: This task setting does not affect accessibility of tasks related to the Change security context feature (File > Advanced).

Manage add-ons

Perform actions related to the management of add-ons.

Manage database info

Modify settings in the Database info dialog.

Manage own account

Edit details associated with one's own user account such as the e-mail address or phone number

Tip: This task setting only affects user accounts set up in PLA 3.0 rather than an external directory.

Manage sessions

View session management and execute commands in the dialog.

Request support

Submit a request for support.

Help > Support request

Send feedback

Send feedback to Stegmann Systems.

Help > Send feedback

Show audit trail

View the system audit trail.

Note: This task setting only affects the system audit trail. The document audit trails are available for all users who can view related documents.
