1. Download and install PLA 3.0

Find details on how to download and install PLA 3.0 in your environment.

Important:

When updating an existing installation, PLA 3.0 reuses your existing license. You therefore do not need to reinstall the license system.

Procedure

To download and install PLA 3.0:

Download the setup files.

Use a computer with internet connection to download the required setup files and distribute them in your environment, according to your deployment scenario. For details on the steps, see the Download the setup files topic.
Install PLA 3.0.

Install the PLA 3.0 software in your environment according to your deployment scenario. For details on the steps, see the Install the PLA 3.0 software topic.

Important:
The installation process removes existing PLA 3.0 installations.

What to do next

Make sure PLA 3.0 is running in licensed mode: Start PLA 3.0. Then, in the Login dialog, check if your serial number (S/N) is correctly displayed in the lower part of the dialog.
