Set up the preparation schemes

Set up preparation schemes to define the absolute potency and the dilution sequences for the Standard and Test sample.

Before you begin

You have created a Dichotomous assay document.

About this task

In this use case, the dilution sequences of the Standard and Test sample differ, you therefore need two preparation schemes, one for each sequence. Created from scratch, Dichotomous assay documents have one preparation scheme. You therefore need to add one extra scheme.

Procedure

To create an extra preparation scheme:
  1. In the Content editor, go to Setup > Preparation schemes.
  2. In the Creatable elements pane, double-click the Preparation scheme element.
To set up the first preparation scheme:
  1. Switch from Absolute potency: not defined to Absolute potency: defined by stock solution
  2. Define the absolute potency as follows:
    ElementValue
    Assigned/Assumed potency 20
    Assigned/Assumed potency units IU/ml
  3. Switch from Geometric sequence to Defined sequence.
  4. Use the Creatable elements pane to add eight extra Dose value elements.
  5. Enter the following dose values: 3.4, 5.2, 7, 8.5, 10.5, 13, 18, 21, 28
To set up the second preparation scheme:
  1. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to set up the absolute potency for the second scheme like you did for the first.
  2. Switch from Geometric sequence to Defined sequence.
  3. Use the Creatable elements pane to add four extra Dose value elements.
  4. Enter the following dose values: 6.5, 10, 14, 21.5, 29
  5. Save the document.
