Set up data aggregation filters

Set up data aggregation filters in your target document to decide which referenced documents to use as source documents and from which sections in your source documents PLA 3.0 aggregates data.

Before you begin

For this task, you work with section filters. We recommend becoming familiar with this concept before beginning. For details, see the Section filters topic.

About this task

PLA 3.0 provides two types of data aggregation filters, that is, document reference filters and section filters. This example uses the default document reference filters, you therefore only have to set up a section filter.

Procedure

To set up section filters:
  1. In the Content editor of your target document, go to Data table > Column: Section.
  2. Use the Creatable elements pane to add a Property filter element.
Note: PLA 3.0 automatically adds the Property key and Term elements you require to set up the filter.
  3. Set up the property filter. In this example, the section you aggregate from is Test sample (S1) in your source documents.
    1. As the Property key, enter http://stegmannsystems.com/edp/document/property/section.
    2. As the Term, enter S1.
  4. Save the document.
