Manual migration

Use the export function of PLA 2.x and the import function of PLA 3.0 to migrate your data manually.

Note: While manual migration is possible, we recommend using the add-ons of the PLA 3.0 Migration and Archiving Toolkit for migration. They guide you through the migration process step-by-step, reducing effort and the risk of errors.

Procedure

To manually migrate your data:

Export your assay data from PLA 2.x.
Result: This creates a document that has all your assay data.
Import the PLA 2.x document.
Result: This creates a folder in PLA 3.0 that holds the assay data you exported.
