3. Install the PLA 3.0 license system

Before you begin

Verify that you have the necessary permissions to install programs in the C:\Program Files (x86) directory.

About this task

The PLA 3.0 license system provides the PLA License Key Manager and the PLA License Control Center applications. You use these applications during the licensing process.

Procedure

On the computer or license server that should hold the PLA 3.0 license, complete the following steps:

Run the PLA_License_System_1.1.0.57-windows.exe setup file as an administrator.
Follow the setup assistant to install the PLA License System.

Result

The setup assistant installs the PLA License Key Manager and the PLA License Control Center in your environment and adds a shortcut to the PLA License Key Manager to your desktop.
