Roles tab

Create, modify, and delete document roles for the database.

Toolbar

The toolbar at the top of the Roles tab provides a set of actions for maintaining document roles.

Description

Add

Opens the Add document role dialog, where you can create a new document role in the database. To create a new document role, enter a name for the new document role and a brief description.

Important: The names of global roles and document roles have to be unique within the database.

Edit

Opens the General tab for the document role currently selected in the role table, where you can modify this document role.

Remove

Opens a dialog where you can delete the currently selected document role from the database.

free text filter

Displays only the document roles in the table whose name contains the character sequence you enter in the text box.

The table below the toolbar displays details on the currently available document roles.

Lists the names of all document roles set up in the database or, if you set a filter, of the document roles that match the filter.

Description

Provides brief descriptions of the document roles listed in the Name column.
