Create a template from an adjusted assay

Adjust an existing Quantitative response assay document and save it as a template for your copy and adjust process.

Note: To create a template, you need the Edit documents task permission.

Procedure

To prepare your assay template:
  1. Open the document you want to use as template.
  2. Go to the Name element and enter a unique name so that it can be easily identified in later use.
  3. Go to the elements that need adjustment and change them according to your requirements.
  4. Make sure you remove all response values in the data editors, as templates cannot be calculated.
  5. On the File menu, select Save as template.
  6. Navigate to the folder where you want to save your template.
  7. Select OK to save the template.

Result

The template is saved in the source folder. You can identify templates by an orange square in the upper right corner of the document icon ().
