Example 4: Placeholder keyedcounter:KEY

In this example, we use the keyedcounter:KEY placeholder to distinguish between instructions and requirements.

Procedure

To configure the template:
  1. Add three Comment elements to a template
  2. To each Comment element, add a Subject subelement.
  3. In the Initial value text box of two of the Subject subelements, complete the following steps:
    1. Type the word Instruction.
    2. Type a space.
    3. Insert the keyedcounter placeholder.
    4. Replace 'KEY' with comment_key_inst.
  4. In the Initial value text box of the third Subject subelement, complete the following steps:
    1. Type the word Requirement.
    2. Type a space.
    3. Insert the keyedcounter placeholder.
    4. Replace 'KEY' with comment_key_req.
  5. Save the template and create a document from the template.

Result

The first Comment element has the subject line 'Instruction 1,' the second has the Subject line 'Instruction 2,' and the third has the Subject line 'Requirement 1.'
