SD

SD factor
Enter the factor to be multiplied with the standard deviation. The number you enter must be positive. You can define up to three different factors. The result of mean ± SD * factor will drawn in the sidechart.

Severity level of the rule
Select the severity level for this rule from the drop-down list. Control chart reports indicate rule violations including severity levels of violated rules. Individual rule violations also affect the status of the related rule set, charts, and document. The greatest severity involved determines their status. The order of precedence is (1) Alarm, (2) Warning, (3) Information.

Sidechart
This section allows you to define a sidechart to have statistical characteristics, such as mean and standard deviation of data series, displayed next to the main chart and all its subcharts. You can select to cumulate data over the entire chart or just over individual subcharts if available.

Sidechart color
Select the color to be used to display horizontal lines and boxplots that belong to the sidecharts of this data series in the current chart. When you create a Data series, a Sidechart color is automatically assigned. Select the color field to display controls that allow you to change the color.

Sort data
Specify the sort order to be applied to the data in this Control chart document.

- By date: Sort all data by date prior to performing calculations.
- Keep dataset order: Use the data order of the dataset/ Data table, which is displayed in the References editor (Observation source: Aggregation) or in the Observations editor (Observation source: User input).

Subcharts
This section allows you to split data series to plot and monitor their observations in several subcharts rather than a single chart. This improves readability of large data series. You can split data series by number of observations or number of days.
The Subcharts section also allows you to define a subchart that only displays the most recent observations by number of observations or by number of days.

Type: Mean and SD
Select this option if you want to draw the mean and standard deviation values in the sidechart for each data series you select. You can specify up to three factors to be multiplied with the standard deviation. For example, to draw markers for standard deviation bands 1, 2, and 3, you have to add 1, 2, and 3 as SD factors. Select the Select data series option from the drop-down list to select the data series. Select the All data series option to draw boxplots for all data series.

Update mode
Select how you want to update document references and the data provided by these documents.
The following four Update modes are available:
