Upgrade the database scheme

Upgrade your database to the PLA 3.0.7 scheme to make it available for PLA 3.0.7 installations.

Important: The process is not reversible. After the upgrade, only PLA 3.0.7 installations can access the upgraded database.

About this task

To access databases, you use connection profiles. Connection profiles are stored independently from the databases and hold connection details such as the database location, the user name, and the encrypted password to access the database. You upgrade a database by selecting its connection profile.

Note: This procedure covers the upgrade process for a local SQLite database. You can upgrade all PLA 3.0 databases in the same way.

Procedure

To upgrade an existing database to the PLA 3.0.7 scheme:

In the Login dialog, select Tools.
From the drop-down list box, select Database management.
In the Manage database connection profiles dialog, select the connection profile for the database you want to upgrade.
You can identify databases that require an upgrade by the status.
Select Repair.
To confirm the upgrade, select Yes.
Result: The status of the connection profile changes to .
Select Connect and log in to PLA 3.0.
