Install the PLA 3.0 framework

Install the PLA 3.0 framework in your environment.

Note: When updating an existing installation, the PLA License System is already installed in your environment. As PLA 3.0 reuses your license, you do not have to re-install the PLA License System.

Before you begin

Make sure there is enough free disc space on the system.
Make sure you have permissions to install programs.
Make sure your system meets the requirements.

Procedure

To install the PLA 3.0 framework:

On the computer on which you intend to run PLA 3.0, complete the following steps:
1. Run the PLA 3.0.7.1017-windows-x64.exe setup file as an administrator.
2. Follow the setup assistant to install the PLA 3.0 framework.
Result: The PLA 3.0 framework is installed in the destination folder you selected. A shortcut to the application is added to your desktop.
Start PLA 3.0.7.
Result: Your license keys are automatically activated. No additional manual steps are required.
Make sure PLA 3.0 is running in licensed mode: In the Login dialog, check if your serial number (S/N) is correctly displayed in the lower part of the dialog.
