Text Data Acquisition Module
Use the Text Data Acquisition Module to acquire data from generic (*.txt) text and comma-separated value (*.csv) files, independent from the device you are using.
Configuration
The Text Data Acquisition Module comes equipped with a default configuration that covers the most common use cases. You can change this configuration if you require.
Set up properties files
By default, PLA 3.0 users can use all configuration profiles available for a Data Acquisition Module and can create, edit, and delete all configuration profiles. Using the properties file of a Data Acquisition Module, you can restrict these rights if you require.

By default, all users of a Data Acquisition Module can create, edit, and delete configuration profiles. You can change this default behavior and prevent changes to profiles.

Prevent changes to configuration profiles

By default, all users of a Data Acquisition Module can create, edit, and delete configuration profiles. You can change this default behavior and prevent changes to profiles.

Procedure

To prevent changes to configuration profiles:

Open the properties file.
Add the following key=value pair:
com.stegmannsystems.edp.dataacquisition.text.restrictions.canEditProfiles=false
Save and close the file.
