Use the Tecan Magellan™ (Automation) Data Acquisition Module to acquire data from Tecan Magellan™. In file operating mode, you can acquire data from Tecan Magellan™ (*.wsp) workspace files. In method operating mode, you can acquire data from Tecan Magellan™ (*.mth) method files which control the Tecan Magellan™ software.

    - Install the Data Acquisition Module
      The Tecan Magellan™ (Automation) Data Acquisition Module is delivered as an add-on to the PLA 3.0 framework and does not require a separate installation. To make the functionality of the add-on available for use, you have to activate it in your database.
  - Configuration
    The Tecan Magellan™ (Automation) Data Acquisition Module comes equipped with a default configuration that covers the most common use cases. You can change this configuration if you require.
  - Data acquisition
    Acquire data to import response values from external systems into existing PLA 3.0 documents.

  Use the Tecan Magellan™ Import Module for bioMérieux Endotoxin Detection Assays to import assay data from Tecan Magellan™ reader control software into PLA 3.0.

System requirements

Make sure your system meets the requirements listed below.


Requirement	Background
PLA version 3.0.5 or higher is installed.	Required to run add-on version 1.4.0 of the Tecan Magellan™ (Automation) Data Acquisition Module.
Version 14 or higher of the Biological Assay Package add-on is activated in your database.	Required to acquire data, for example, into Quantitative response assay documents.
Version 1.0.0 of the Dose-Response Analysis Package is activated in your database.	Required to acquire data into Dose-response analysis documents.
Version 1.0.0 of the Dichotomous Assay Package is activated in your database. Note: This add-on requires PLA version 3.0.6 or higher.	Required to acquire data into Dichotomous assay documents.
The Tecan Magellan™ software is installed and has been started at least once on the computer you want to use for the data acquisition.	To acquire data, a functional version of the Tecan Magellan™ software is required.
