Terminal server environment

Use this scenario if you want to set up a central PLA 3.0 installation for all PLA 3.0 users.

Licensing details

Setup

You install PLA 3.0 on a terminal server that connects to the Microsoft SQL database server. To work with PLA 3.0, the terminal clients access the terminal server. You install the license on a license server in this network.

The license server keeps track of the currently used licenses and the maximum number of available slots. The terminal server connects to the license server to obtain slots for its clients. When a user closes PLA 3.0 on a terminal client, the respective slot becomes available for others to use.
