Shared environment with license server

Use this scenario if you want several users to be able to log in to PLA 3.0 at the same time, sharing the same license distributed by a license server, and collaborating on the same database.

Licensing details

Licensing option: Concurrent use
Number of licenses for this scenario: 1 (two user slots)

Setup

You install PLA 3.0 on multiple local computers that connect to the Microsoft SQL database server (in this example, two computers). You install the license on a license server in this network.

The license server keeps track of the currently used licenses and the maximum number of available user slots. Each PLA 3.0 installation functions as a client, connecting to the license server to obtain a slot. When a user closes PLA 3.0 on a client, the respective slot becomes available for others to use.
