Set up configuration profiles

PLA 3.0 comes equipped with a default configuration profile that covers the standard use case. You can create custom configuration profiles if you require.

When you use a Data Acquisition Module for the first time in your database, PLA 3.0 displays a dialog that leads you through the steps required to either activate the default profile or create a custom profile.

The following example shows the dialog of the SoftMax® Pro (6.x - 7.x) Data Acquisition Module:

Activate the default profile

To use the default configuration profile, in the Question dialog, select Yes. PLA 3.0 opens the Data acquisition configuration dialog with the default profile preselected and read-only.

Note: The Tecan Magellan Data Acquisition Module in Automation mode comes equipped with two default configuration profiles, one for method files and one for workspace files.

Create a custom profile

To create a custom configuration profile, in the Question dialog, select No. Complete the steps described in the Create a custom configuration profile topic.
