Authentication using LDAP

PLA 3.0 supports authentication using secure LDAP (LDAPS) directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services.

Enhanced database administration

New database policies allow you to control:
- Whether imported values can be overwritten by another import process.
- Whether document and folder keys can be changed.
- Whether new documents are save before opening. This enables better tracking of changes between documents and related templates.
The new database maintenance feature and corresponding permission let you perform database maintenance.
Supporting the new database policy, changing document and folder keys is now available as a separate permission.

Licensing

PLA 3.0 comes equipped with an installer for the PLA 3.0 license system. The installer updates the license system drivers and installs the PLA License Key Manager for easier handling of software license keys.
