PLA 3.0 comes equipped with a default configuration profile that
covers the standard use case. You can create custom configuration profiles if you
require.
When you use a Data Acquisition Module for the first time in your database, PLA 3.0 displays a dialog that leads you through the steps required to
either activate the default profile or create a custom profile.
The following example shows the dialog of the SoftMax® Pro (6.x - 7.x) Data Acquisition Module:Figure 1. Selection of default or custom configuration profile
Important: With version 1.3.0 of the Gen5™ Data
Acquisition Module, we added additional configuration profile settings. Profiles created
for previous versions are therefore no longer valid. You have to create new
profiles.
Activate the default profile
To use the default configuration profile, in the Question dialog, select Yes. PLA 3.0 opens the Data acquisition
configuration dialog with the default profile preselected and
read-only.
Create a custom profile
To create a custom configuration profile, in the Question dialog, select No. Complete the steps described in the topic.
