Install PLA 3.0

Install the PLA 3.0 framework and the PLA License System in your environment.

Note: The installation process removes previously installed versions of PLA 3.0.

Before you begin

Make sure there is enough free disc space on the system.
Make sure you have permissions to install programs.
Make sure your system meets the requirements.

Procedure

To install PLA 3.0:

On the computer on which you intend to run PLA 3.0, complete the following steps:
1. Run the PLA 3.0.7.1017-windows-x64.exe setup file as an administrator.
2. Follow the setup assistant to install the PLA 3.0 framework.
Result: The PLA 3.0 framework is installed in the destination folder you selected. A shortcut to the application is added to your desktop.
On the computer or license server that should hold the PLA 3.0 license, complete the following steps:
1. Run the PLA_License_System_1.1.0.57-windows.exe setup file as an administrator.
2. Follow the setup assistant to install the PLA License System.
Result: PLA 3.0 installs the PLA License Key Manager and the PLA License Control Center in your environment and adds a shortcut to the PLA License Key Manager to your desktop.
